taken last night during the lunar eclipse (out of frame to the upper right).

down at the south pier, there were a bunch of neat colors in the clouds due to the lunar eclipse and the refracting of light from the sun.

i tried my best to capture the lunar eclipse with my way too short 200mm lens on my way too flimsy tripod with my battery dying wireless remote and shaky shutter finger... it didn't work out.

so during the totality of the eclipse, i went out to one of my favorite spots, all thanks to the motivation from my co-worker carrie, who told me she loved my night shots. so this one's for her.
