home opener for the pittsburgh passion women's football team, saturday april 29. the passion came out on top with a 6-0 victory with a 36-yard touchdown pass to my sister in law (not pictured) with about 6 minutes left in the game. and that catch was a thing of beauty. caught fully in stride, arms extended, and then a couple steps into the endzone.

and a huge show of support from local pittsburghians. the pittsburgh side of the field numbered about 1000 people, sitting elbow to elbow, while the columbus side numbered about 30.

i paid more attention to my camera settings this time and got a lot of good results. i'm now wondering if keeping the lens on auto focus is a good idea or not. a lot of my shots were focused incorrectly, but with sports, i can't see manual focus being the right way to go. any thoughts?

this was shot at an iso of 800, f/5.6 and a shutter of 1/640 in aperture-priority mode at 200mm.
