here is a little year in review, by photo, for 2007. nothing too exciting... especially compared to last year.

january (all photos)

the big thing for me in january was a trip to hawaii. i didn't actually take too many photos, because i was just trying to relax and enjoy the islands. looking back, it was nice to have a big vacation in the beginning of the year, but by year end, it was tough getting by without any vacation days left.

good morning maui

my favorite photo of january (and quite possibly all-time):

lunar eclipse

february (all photos)

nothing really at all happened in february, but i managed something halfway decent.

tracks

march (all photos)

ah, the month of some really nice personal favorites. below is a shot i submitted to the erie art museum's spring show (and was ultimately rejected). other favorites are the orange icicle, the birds, and the crack.

the fallen

april (all photos)

my baby turned seven(!) years old, and wedding season started up for me with an engagment session for candy and russ. it was a last minute thing, but i think it turned out quite nice. webster even got into the action...

with this duck, i thee...

not much else happened in april, but i really liked taking shots from an ant's perspective.

may (all photos)

may came along with some ridiculous and unnecessary drama but i did manage a nice, usable, and non-violating photo from a golf tournament

flying shards of grass

i managed to take a break from fending off some new wedding photography competition (and fellow ladies man), and came away with what i think is a nice twilight shot of the city.

june (all photos)

a total lack of inspiration, motivation, and will to take photos set in. i only managed one nice shot in june.

buttercup

july (all photos)

july... what else? fireworks. that was all i managed to squeeze out in july.

2007 july 3rd fireworks - conneaut

august (all photos)

august was the month of weddings. three weddings in 4 weeks. it was hectic, but provided valuable experience and much needed cash. all my couples were fantastic and made my job so easy.

always a bridesmaid...

september (all photos)

september is embarrassing. i took (rather posted) one single photo the entire month. pathetic. and it was at a wedding i was helping a friend with.

that tilt thing

october (all photos)

october is just as bad as september. i started playing around more with some post-processing work on my photos, trying to give them some extra punch.

red shirt draped over a post... lomofied

november (all photos)

i managed to bring photography to my daughter with a night time photo shoot (albeit very short). she enjoyed it, but got bored having to wait for longer exposures.

emma's dipper

december (all photos)

the creative juices started oozing again with a small project called "iron photographer" for a group called utata. it only took me one shot to pull off, and i nailed it. i managed to get the idea from my brain onto a digital photograph.

love / hate

i'm hoping for a much more productive output in 2008. one plan is to not worry about monetizing my photography as much and just going out there and shooting the hell out of everything. thanks once again to all of you who have come by and viewed my photos, and an extra big thanks goes out to those who leave comments. i really appreciate it all!
